How to access a participating lounge:

Register your HSBC Mastercard credit card in the app
Geolocation displays eligible lounges nearby for you to review the benefits available to you
Simply present the mobile app to lounge reception staff and enjoy touchless entry using a quick response (QR) code
End-to-end digital fulfilment without the need to show your physical card

The app can be downloaded from the App Store or Play Store. A web version is also available where you can register your eligible Mastercard and print out your digital membership number. You can then present this number at the lounge reception staff to gain access.

International transaction requirement

From 1 April 2025, Mastercard cardholders must spend a minimum of USD 1 (or local equivalent) in cross-border (outside Qatar) point of sale or online e-commerce transaction with their card to unlock complimentary airport lounge access / airport dining offers, with a yearly cap based on their card tier. (Mastercard World qualifies for 12 and Mastercard Platinum qualifies for 6 lounge and dining offers a year). Each qualifying cross-border transaction will unlock 3 calendar months of complimentary airport lounge access. If your lounge access has been paused, you may regain access by making an international transaction on your card at point of sale or online e-commerce. Your access will be re-instated after up to 72 hours.

International transaction refers to any purchase or payment made physically at a point of sale outside of Qatar or a payment or purchase made online from an international website or merchant. The international transaction requirement to unlock the airport lounge access applies to both primary and supplementary cards.

Get access to Instant Cash for up to 50% of your credit limit with your HSBC Advance Platinum Mastercard at over 810,000 ATMs worldwide, or over the counter at any global HSBC branch that displays the VISA or Mastercard symbols. A Cash Advance Fee (or foreign currency equivalent, where applicable), whichever is higher, will be charged.

Your HSBC Advance Platinum Mastercard gives you the option to pay as little as 5% of the outstanding balance each month, and carry forward the remaining balance to your next statement. You can choose to pay any amount you wish between 5% and 100% of your outstanding card balance each month.

Choose from the following convenient options to make your card payments:

a standing instruction to debit your HSBC savings or current Account
an online payment through HSBC's internet banking service, transferring funds from your HSBC savings or current account
a cash payment at any HSBC branch or cash deposit machines in-branch
a cheque payment to: HSBC Bank Middle East Limited, P.O. Box 57, Doha Qatar

Keeping your HSBC Advance Platinum Credit Card safe

Follow our simple advice to protect yourself:

treat your card like cash - never leave it unattended
as soon as you receive your new card, sign the back immediately
don't give out your card number over the phone unless you know the company well and you placed the call
draw a line through the blank space above the total on all charge slips to prevent any alterations
never sign blank charge slips
check your card statements regularly and contact HSBC immediately if you notice any irregularity. All errors should be reported to us within 30 days of the statement mailing date
record card numbers, phone numbers and expiration dates. Keep this record in a secure place and away from your cards, incase you need to report them lost or stolen.
don't put your card or personal identification numbers (PIN) together, or put your PIN on your card or in your wallet
if you're travelling, only carry the cards that you need
to enable HSBC to help you more effectively, keep your contact details updated including your mobile number
