The SMS Alert Service enables delivery of account related information, product and services notification in real time to HSBC customers mobile phones. It includes the following main features:
Deposit / Credit Transaction Alert: a message will be sent every time money is deposited / credited to an account below or above the amount threshold selected by the customer.
Withdrawal / Debit Transaction Alert: a message will be sent every time money is withdrawn / debited from an account below or above the amount threshold selected by the customer.
Account Balance Alert: a message will be sent whenever an account balance is above or below the amount threshold selected by the customer.
Term Deposit Maturity Notification: a message will be sent to you a few days before the Term Deposit matures. You can specify how many days prior the message should reach him/her.
Personal customers holding Current or Saving accounts can register for the SMS Alert Service.
You can register for the SMS Alert Service in any of the followings ways:
Branch: You can visit any of our branches. Our Customer Service Representatives will help you in completing the required form.
Website: Click here to print the SMS application form (PDF), complete the requested information, sign it and drop it off at any of our Branches or any HSBC ATM in Qatar. using the "Mail Deposit" function under "Deposits".

No. To register for the SMS Alert Service, you need to hold a valid Qatar mobile phone line.
If you have subscribed for the roaming facility from your mobile service provider (Q-Tel), then messages will be received on your mobile device.
This service is provided to you free of charge.
At this time only customers holding a bank account relationship with HSBC can register for the SMS Alert Service. This service is only available for account-related transactions.
The SMS alerts are currently offered in English language only.
You can specify a debit / credit transaction threshold amount. The SMS alert will only be generated if the transaction is equal to or exceeds this threshold.
Yes. You can call our call centre on 4442 4722 (within the State of Qatar) or +971 2274310 (outside the State of Qatar) or by completing the SMS application form.
You will receive SMS alerts immediately after a transaction is processed. For your convenience, messages will only be sent to you between 07:00 hrs and 22:00 hrs.
Sender name will be HSBC Qatar.
You can choose to select a unique nickname (Up to 10 characters) for each of your accounts. If you choose not to select a nickname, the SMS alert will mention your account number in the format 001 123***-001.
