Breast cancer is the fifth most common cause of cancer deaths the world over. The first four are lung cancer, stomach cancer, liver cancer, and colon cancer. Breast cancer is the most common malignancy in Qatar.

One in every nine women will be diagnosed with breast cancer by the age of 85. It could be a mother, sister, aunt, cousin, niece or friend. Whoever they are, one thing they have in common is that they will all need our help and support.

October is internationally known as Breast Cancer Month and Pink Ribbon Day is always the fourth Monday in October. This year, Pink Ribbon day is on Monday, 26th October . Charities worldwide raise money for the fight against breast cancer on Pink Ribbon Day.

Think Pink Qatar is an association which is dedicated to raising awareness of breast cancer in the local community to aid in the prevention, early detection and treatment of breast cancer. Every year Think Pink Qatar organises the 'Walk of Life' along the Corniche. All fees and donations collected by Think Pink Qatar will be donated to the Qatar National Cancer Society to support the joint efforts of the Qatar National Cancer Society and Think Pink Qatar in its fight against Breast Cancer and to raise the Awareness of Breast Cancer.

This year HSBC Qatar has joined the fight against cancer and is one of the premium sponsors of the Think Pink 'Walk of Life'
