Available for salaried (QAR 10,000 and above) residents and nationals.
Fees and charges
The minimum average balance requirement on the current account is QAR 8,000 below which a fall below fee of QAR 50 per month will be charged. No minimum balance charge is levied if the customer has any of the following with HSBC Qatar: loan, authorised overdraft limit, vehicle finance loan, investment(s), an average minimum balance of QAR 8,000 is held in a current &/or savings account, or a minimum of QAR 50,000 is held in a TMD account.
Foreign currency Current Accounts require a minimum balance equivalent of USD 5,000/ GBP 5,000/ Euro 5,000 with no cheque book facility
Documents required
Passport with valid residence/work permit and ID issued by Ministry of Interior (for expatriates)/ID issued by Ministry of Interior (for nationals)
Salary transfer letter
Introduction letter from employer
Proof of Residence - Copy of Telephone/Electricity Bill (for both Qatari nationals and expatriates)
